Just 20 minutes a day, 3x a week ignites language breakthroughs
Provides first-language support: Human-voiced audio support is available in 15 languages. As students become more proficient in English, first-language support is strategically withdrawn, gradually transitioning them to independence.
Enables cross-linguistic transfer: Students recognize initial sounds in English that are also used in their first language. The program also addresses English sounds not found in a student’s first language (e.g., the /sh/ sound in English, which is not found in Spanish).
Builds on language commonalities: Students learn about rhyme in their first language to build background knowledge. Next, they’re taught rhyming sounds in English with modeling, visuals, and interactive practice.
Through engaging, culturally diverse, and relevant content, Imagine Español® respects and reflects the uniqueness of the Spanish language and the rich heritage of its speakers. It presents an environment resplendent with beloved folk art and music, while using authentic Spanish pedagogy to teach foundational literacy skills. Students discover the joys of reading through Latin American and Spanish folktales and celebrating stories that elevate the values cherished throughout Spanish-speaking countries.
